The Role of Administrative Leaders in Drawing Future Strategies for Community Health and Safety

It has become necessary that administrative leaders review their drawn-out strategies for public policy. There are two very serious threats facing societies in the coming future, the first one is the threat to the health of society, and the second is the threat to the security of society. Moreover our noble prophet Mohammad (peace and blessings be upon him), has emphasized this issue by saying that the main two blessings that people are unaware of are health and safety. And we notice, that most of the administrative leaders have neglected the health, safety and security of their societies, and this is a reality that we now see and live. That’s way we could say that the fear of the Coronavirus pandemic is a result of insufficient capabilities and supplies to combat this serious disease.
All the experts and researchers in this field have emphasized through their writings on the priority of spending on necessities before spending on luxuries and entertainment projects. Most Arab world countries, especially in the gulf region, have spent billions of dollars on tourist resort projects and entertainment programs expecting this progress is a success. And here we could say that what is the benefit of spending those billions of dollars now if society is sick and faces a threat from a pandemic sweeping the world at full speed? While the resorts are empty, and there is no financial return neither from tourism nor from all these projects. It has become a necessity from now on, to establish hospitals and medical facilities that accommodate those infected with diseases, such as the Coronavirus pandemic instead of spending huge amounts of dollars for business profitability.
The next second threat that should be considered by the administrative leaders is the threat of nuclear war. We can see that Sweden has already created basements and evacuation facilities that are anti-nuclear strike and can accommodate more than 12 million people, and it was completed in 2002.
Here, the main question that arise is what are the arrangements and preparations of the Arab world countries for those dangers, while the region is in a huge conflict. We think that it is time to halt business profitability mindset and to think of human security instead. Finally we could quote the statement that says “every leader is a manager but not every manager is a leader”.
