It seems that the irresponsible human attitude towards nature has no longer a negative impact on the health of ecosystems only, but rather extended to the health of human himself. The emergence and spread of epidemics worldwide has been linked by some to global warming and relevant manifestations. The rise in temperature and the change in its seasonal pattern has threatened food security for several countries. According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), about a billion people in the world are undernourished. Most of them live in Asia and the Pacific Islands, followed by Africa. Droughts, floods, rivers and ocean warming have reduced yields of crops, livestock, and fishing, prompting people to find other sources of food and force some to infringe on natural communities that exposed them to the danger of viruses. Eating wild animals and insects has become a source of nutrients in many countries for survival. The global public health crisis with the deadly coronavirus, that is believed and with strong evidence, it originated in wild bats which is a common meal in China where the virus first appeared, has sounded the alarm about the deterioration of life on this planet.

It is time to rethink our lifestyle and our greedy way of dealing with nature. It is time to evaluate and correct the path.
