Healthy Food to Raise and Improve Immunity against COVID-19

Maintaining a healthy diet plays a key aspect in determining an overall healthy body. There are various types of food that people can consume to get the essential vitamins the immune system needs. For instance, Vitamin "C” has important antioxidant properties and is one of the most important vitamins that strengthens the immune system and speeds up wound healing, which is found in peppers and citrus, fruits, and fiber, in addition to containing vitamins that increase the ability of the immune system to fight against viruses like covid-19. We should be aware that anti-oxidants contribute to raising the body's immunity system, as all oxidation processes in the body lead to infections and problems in the body.

Among the antioxidants, dietitians include vitamin A which is found in carrots, and vitamin E which is found in nuts, seeds, olive oil, and vegetable oil. The other important factor is vitamin K which protects the human body against clots and is found in broccoli and green leaf and strengthens the immune system.

On the other hand, Zinc is one of the basic elements that are important for human health. Organize the work of insulin, for immunity system, improve sense smell and taste, active role during pregnancy and lactation, and during childhood it contributes to the proper growth. Zinc is not stored inside the human body, so it must be obtained enough through daily diet, as can be consumed as a complimentary food.
