Improving Your Engineering Career During the Coronavirus pandemic

Coronavirus crisis separates continuously and rapidly across the word and because of the governmental and private educational and teaching sectors formulate their responses and regulation to be the students and staff stay home during the time of quarantine , it's become necessary to seek the best way to enhance and improve the ability and skills of the young engineers as well as the students of the senior stages because engineering is a field where one’s learning and training never ceases to be. In this article I will try to provide the following suggestions which will give you as I think a new boost in your future career.

1- Try to discover new skills with enthusiasm in your specialization such as data modeling, probability and statics, and system design while brushing up even computer science fundamentals.

2- Try to enroll in online courses/classes/webinars. For civil engineering students and young civil engineers for example it is very important today to be a familiar with new Design and Analysis softwares which are used frequently in the consultancy and design organizations and bureaus such as the following well known engineering sofwares (SAP, ETAPS,Stad.Pro, SAFE, ROPOTS , etc).

3- Try to access the websites and join with groups which are provided a useful information and knowledge related to your minor and major specialization.

4- Try to concentrate your study on a specific and particular subject to improve highly your knowledge and skills in this field.

5- Use your time to evaluate your strengths, abilities and accomplishments over your years of study in the university. Review your resume, update your LinkedIn and bridge your skill gaps.
